The King Center partnered with S&L Integrated to enhance its entry space with a high-quality, fully integrated AV system. This renovation centered on the installation of a 160-inch BLOX DvLED video wall complemented by a robust audio system, flexible video switching, and intuitive control interfaces. The new system transforms the lobby into a visually engaging, multimedia-ready environment that can support events, signage, and live video feeds. S&L designed and installed all core components—including display, sound, and control systems—backed by a 3-year Client Care package to ensure long-term reliability.
The Challenge
The King Center Lobby required a modern AV solution that could deliver stunning visuals and consistent audio coverage within an open, high-traffic space. The previous setup lacked the flexibility, clarity, and control needed for live events or digital signage. DvLED Video Wall
A 160-inch BLOX DvLED display serves as the visual centerpiece above the bookstore entrance, providing stunning, high-resolution content for signage and events. The wall’s scale and brightness make it an immediate focal point for visitors.
Video Processing & Switching
A NovaStar video processor and Lumens LC200 switcher handle multiple video sources, mapping and managing the display with exceptional precision. These systems allow staff to switch between signage, camera feeds, and streaming content with ease.
Streaming & Signage Player
A BrightSign XD235 4K player drives vivid, reliable digital signage content. It ensures consistent playback of promotional videos, announcements, and visuals at professional broadcast quality.
PTZ Camera Integration
A 12x optical zoom PTZ network camera captures live events and activities in the lobby. Its HDMI and network outputs make it ideal for blending local display and streaming feeds seamlessly.
Distributed Audio System
Two high-quality flat-panel loudspeakers and a subwoofer deliver balanced, full-range sound across the open lobby space. This distributed approach ensures announcements and background audio are clearly heard everywhere.
Intelligent Audio Control
A Q-SYS Core 8 Flex processor manages all audio routing and DSP functions, pairing with a Lea four-channel amplifier for powerful, clean amplification. Together, they create an efficient, networked sound architecture that’s easy to adjust and expand.
Wireless Microphone Setup
A dual-channel Shure wireless system supports handheld and lapel microphones for presenters. Built-in charging stations and network integration ensure microphones are always ready and easy to locate.
Touch Control & Infrastructure
Two 10.1-inch Q-SYS touchscreens and a cleanly integrated rack system provide full AV control, reliable power, and professional cable management. The NETGEAR AV Line switch supplies secure network connectivity and PoE+ power across the system.
