S&L Integrated Unveils Next-Gen Connected Media Facility at Currey Ingram Academy
Currey Ingram Academy | Brentwood, Tenn.
Currey Ingram Academy created a next-generation media production facility where students could learn real-world skills in video production, music recording, broadcasting, and immersive digital content creation. The project included several specialized spaces—including a professional video production suite, XR (Extended Reality) studios, a fully equipped music recording studio, and the technology infrastructure needed to connect them all together.
Design Technik designed a complete audiovisual system for the facility, which S&L Integrated installed in close collaboration with Design Technik and Currey Ingram. The system allowed every room to function as part of one connected production environment. From recording music and producing videos to creating virtual productions and managing digital content, the technology was carefully integrated to give students and staff professional tools that were simple to use and built to support years of learning.
The Challenge
- Build several highly specialized production spaces that each serve a different purpose while allowing them to work together seamlessly.
- Create classrooms and studios that give students hands-on experience with the same types of technology used by professional broadcasters, recording studios, and content creators.
- Make advanced production equipment easy enough for teachers and students to operate without requiring extensive technical knowledge.
- Design a reliable system that can grow with the academy as new programs and technology are added.

The Solution
Video Production Suite
The Video Production Suite serves as the heart of the academy’s media program. Students will be able to produce broadcasts, create digital content, edit video, and manage live productions from a professional control room. Large displays, production computers, studio lighting, and advanced video equipment work together to provide an environment similar to what students would experience in a television station or production company.
XR (Extended Reality) Studios
The XR studios allow students to create immersive digital productions by combining physical sets with virtual environments. Using specialized projection, media servers, and production technology, students can create videos that appear to take place almost anywhere—from a news studio to a virtual classroom or creative digital backdrop. These spaces introduce students to one of the fastest-growing areas of video production.
Music Recording Studio
The academy’s music studio provides students with a professional environment for recording music, podcasts, voiceovers, and multimedia projects. High-quality microphones, studio monitors, recording software, and mixing equipment give students the opportunity to learn every stage of the recording process, from capturing audio to producing a finished project.
Connected Technology Throughout the Facility
Behind the scenes, every production space is connected through a high-speed technology network that allows audio, video, and data to move throughout the building. This shared infrastructure lets students and instructors easily move content between rooms, share resources, and support a variety of production workflows without unnecessary complexity.
The Result
Currey Ingram Academy has a modern media production facility that gives students hands-on experience with the tools and workflows used throughout today’s creative industries. Whether recording music, producing videos, creating virtual content, or collaborating on multimedia projects, students will learn in an environment designed to encourage creativity, collaboration, and technical skill development.
